ABOUT OUR PARISHESSt. Brendan and St. Patrick Parishes are active and caring communities of faith, hope, and love. Our parishes work to foster your spiritual growth and hope you will share with us the gifts God has given you. If you are Catholic and have moved to our area, we welcome you to join us. If you are Catholic and have not been attending church, we welcome you to come back. If you are not Catholic and would like to join the Catholic Church, please call our parish office.
This site was designed to provide information for our parishioners, our community, visitors to our area, and for those interested in joining our parish. Father James E. O'Connor is our pastor. Father Jim was ordained on May 29, 1982 and was named Pastor of St. Brendan effective June 20, 2018.
St. Brendan Catholic Church is located just outside the city limits of Elkins, West Virginia, off of the Beverly five lane highway or route 219/250 south. Elkins is the county seat of Randolph County. St. Patrick Catholic Church is located in Coalton, West Virginia, a small town also in Randolph County. Both churches are in the beautiful, scenic northern mountains in the Potomac Highlands region of West Virginia. Saint Brendan and St. Patrick are part of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston and our Bishop is the Most Reverend Mark E. Brennan, who was installed as Bishop of the Diocese on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Wheeling.
